Good Morning!

The Jacksonville Launch is right around the corner and we are going to be having our final meeting this Sunday, July 12th at 2:00 up at the church. We will be discussing all of the details of the launch and what we need to get done for it so everyone will be on the same track. If you cannot make it for some reason please let me know as soon as possible so I can catch up with you before the retreat the following weekend. I hope to see you all Sunday!

Thanks,
Kassie Sikes

Good Morning. We are having a meeting Sunday at 9:00 outside of the resource center at church for the Jacksonville Launch. This meeting is to go over more details and is not mandatory. If you are interested in planning more of what will go into the retreat and are able, please come. If not, that is completely fine and we will see you on July 12th at the last meeting before the youth retreat. I will send an update on e-mail about what is going on between now and then. Hope to see you Sunday!

I'm jealous that you've been to England! I hope I can eventually get over there!

Profile Information

My Current Occupation:
Working
My major:
International Business
Birthdate:
Last day of the year!
My Favorite Music:
oldies, rock, christian, indie....pretty much all of it! I am a big indie rock fan. I love live music!
About Me:
I grew up always wanting to travel to foreign places (for a while that was anywhere outside of Louisiana) and speak a foreign language. I enjoy getting to know people, what their feeling, and what makes them tick. I enjoy movies of all kinds. I also adore music and concerts.
My Interests / Hobbies
Want to get back to making jewelry again. I would also like to brush up on my Spanish and maybe learn another language. I would like to start screenprinting my own t-shirts and hoodies this next year.
My Goals / Aspirations / Dreams
I want to travel the world and take my parents to Ireland.
The things that make me want to get out of bed:
Coffee and seeing God's creation at work. I also like my job and the chance I have to help people on a daily basis. Meeting new people and just being a part of a community helps jump start me too.
My favorite place I've been:
England (London & Bath), Spain (Sevilla, Salamanca, & Granada), Mexico (Meridia), and PORTLAND!!!!
My books I'm reading:
I am still making my way through Les Miserables and after watching Kenneth Branagh's interpretation of "As You Like It", I am thinking that I need to stroll down Shakespeare lane again. I actually got to see a play in the Globe Theatre earlier this year. I am definitely a bibliophile! I love to read.
One thing I hope to accomplish this year:
Getting my apartment ready for guests!

Volunteer Event

Volunteering is something I have done often but not always with consistency. Since I have moved to Jacksonville, I have felt called to get involved with the community around me. I'm blessed to have a good job, place to live, food to eat, and friends to support me. I just wanted to tell you about an upcoming volunteer event. It is with the Methodist Children's Village and it will be on July 25, 2009.

The daycare is a certified United Way agency and a mission of the Methodist church. It currently… Continue
