Hey Kara...happy Sunday! Sounds like you are very involved...which is awesome. I started attending Crossroads on Sundays and heard about Access. I finally decided to attend one day in January and love it! The people are awesome, aren't they! Will you be coming to Jax ever to visit?
Thanks for your comment! Yeah, I work at my school doing a number of things--work at the computer lab & research assistant. Have you found something like Access in Minnesota? I love the fellowship at Access! God is amazing!
That's pretty awesome!!! I admire your love of traveling! I am hoping to practice family law...don't have a job lined up just yet. Wow, wish I could be going to Hawaii!!!
I am originally from Chicago & then moved to Florida to go to high school. I have been in Jax for several years now. I am happy that I found Access too. My dad lives in Traverse City....what city are you from in MI? So have you decided where you are spending your summer?
I grew up in Ann Arbor and Tecumseh, MI. I did one year at Michigan State University and now I am in my junior year at Concordia University- St. Paul. I have two older brothers, Evan and Graham, who are amazing. I'm also very close with my parents, who could not be more excited to be empty-nesters.
I sing constantly, I have a deck of cards in my purse at all times, my camera goes with me everywhere, and I drive a car that's older than I am. I recently found out that I can live happily anywhere as long as I have a good job and a great church.
Right now my goal is to spend each of my summers in a different place. I feel like since I still have summer breaks (and no kids yet) I should really take advantage of my independence. This is how I found Access and I am so blessed because it! It was amazing to experience a new place, meet incredible people, and expand my way of thinking in so many ways.
In the long term, I'm hoping to be a choir teacher in either a middle or high school and eventually I want to be a wife and mother. Ultimately though, my goal is to be an old lady with no regrets and great stories.
My favorite place I've been:
Kaneohe Bay in Hawaii and The Ritz Carlton on Amelia Island
A little known fact about me:
For my sweet sixteen I toured a dairy farm and milked a cow.
One thing I hope to accomplish this year:
I'm hoping to pass at least half of my piano proficiency exam.
