Join us for a night of music, mercy and mission featuring the original songs of the A218 Band. We will also release the latest project from the band, Freedom Songs. It will be a great night that you will not want to miss.
We will be showing the IJM Film At the End of Slavery: The Battle for Justice in our Time, narrated by actor Danny Glover. The documentary takes you inside the violent and ugly business of modern-day slavery — the buying and selling of human beings…
The topic is 'going to get them', also known as evangelism/outreach. This is a seminar for anyone who is serious about community and serious about spreading the great message of Jesus. This seminar will be repeated on Thursday, Oct 29 at 7pm at Cros…
I'm a sociology major at UNF. I really love my life. Laughing, good conversation and Starbucks makes my heart really happy :)
My Interests / Hobbies
Jesus!, random adventures, my recent addiction to coffee, the beach, dark chocolate chex mix, Stewie Griffin, movies from the 80s, postsecret.com, reading pretty much anything, working at Publix, Isabella Elise aka the beef!, and basically having a blast anywhere I go.
The things that make me want to get out of bed:
the promise of caffeine, my niece jumping on my bed and my oh so lovely alarm clock!
My favorite place I've been:
Cusco and Machu Picchu are definitely tied for my favorite!
My books I'm reading:
Lots and lots of sociology books...
The Bible :)
A little known fact about me:
I've always loved Mother Teresa and I found out that God made me the same size as her...so apparently we have at least one thing in common...yay!
One thing I hope to accomplish this year:
Well, deciding on a grad school would be an amazing thing to do soon :)

Wow, I'm awful, about 2 months late. Stuff's good. Stuff's busy! Now that I don't live next door to Crossroads, the walk's a bit too long, haha. But hopefully you guys are finishing the deserts without me!
That's perfectly fine. This Tuesday is actually bad for me as well, we're having a going away dinner for a friend who is moving to Georgia for college, so sadly I wont be at Access that night either =[ BUT I should be there the next week as long as my Honors Orientation doesn't monopolize too much of my time haha
How ya doing? Um, I'm honestly not really excited yet :/ :P...but I think once I settle in and such it'll be better! I'm moving up August 18th. So, real soon!
Hi Kathryn! I got involved in the ESOL program b/c I was once a "speaker of another language" (English that is), when I lived in Germany as a child and went to an all-German school. Now I have students who are learning to speak English as a second language so I can relate to how they feel and what it's like to learn a new language. It is interesting to learn about all the different cultures in my class and fun to see how much they grow in a school year! Thanks for asking. :)
aww, I missed you guys too! I was actually at Murray Hill cause mine and Mel's friends from Canada, a band named Kiros, were in town. but next week you know I'll be there! =)
