Hey, I know you said that the DR Congo is on your heart. I thought you might be interested in praying for an orphan child to pray for from over there. Warm Blankets has a few home and I know its not as hands on as somethings but you know prayer can do a lot! The homes are at this website if you are interested. http://homes.warmblankets.org/

I have at least one organization in Cambodia. Its Warm Blankets Orphan Care International. And I know they work with some other agencies. 2000 of the orphans in their houses got baptized in March. I had the opportunity to go but I didn't listen to God and didn't take it because I didn't trust. And God reminded me about it last night pretty hard core. And I'll definitely be looking into other things like it.
And it's nuts wat's happening in the Congo. The UN emails me almost daily about current devastating news that is happening there. I don't know if you know that that's where Chantel's family is originally from. I'm not sure if Chantel was born when they lived there because they have been to many countries. They were in Rwanda when all that happened so she was probably really young if she was alive when they lived there. It makes me sick thinking about everything that is happening over there. I understand what you mean by stuff messing you up. It's absolutely heartbreaking. I don't know too much about what is happening in the Congo besides the headlines of the UN's emails. And I really don't know effective ways to help in those types of situations. And it's actually something I'm really struggling with. It's one thing to know and make other people aware but I just don't think thats doing much of anything or really helping the people over there. So I'm right there with you on not knowing what to do about it but I agree it is something. And I guess for now prayer is the best way to approach it.

So I had a dream we are going to Cambodia next summer for a launch... You actually informed me we were going there and China. So I just wanted to let you know that my brain somehow picked out Cambodia as a good place to go on a launch. Is that at least a little less cliche?

The Decade of Experimentation

The Decade of Experimentation
by Mark Batterson

Not sure why I'm sharing this. But here goes. Hope it inspires someone who is trying to figure out what they want to be when they grow up. That includes me by the way!

In 1952, Albert Schweitzer won the Nobel Peace Prize for his humanitarian efforts in equatorial Africa. But let share his back story. He woke up on a summer morning in 1896 and said, "While outside the birds sang I came to the conclusion that until I was thirty I coul… Continue

Are we a people in exile?

Question #32: Has being too comfortable caused me to not hear the cry of the oppressed?

I was thinking about this on Saturday as Joel, Quirky, Jackie and I all washed our cars.
No, it wasn't purified water that we were using, but by many standards it was clean water.
And there was plenty of it. And we were washing our cars with it. And we never worried that it would run out.
I know there are people who will die today because they don't have clean water to drink.
But honestly, its hard for me to… Continue

Its keeping me awake at night

We believe that God has called ACCESS218 to serve college students and young adults in North East Florida. To see college students and young adults living today in God's reality, learning in community what it means to be a Christ-follower and preparing to be leaders in the cause of Christ and His Church for the transformation of the world. For this season of my life, it is the mission that God has set before me and before many of you as well.

I am thankful that we are connected to 200+
of these… Continue

things aren't quite lining up.

Almost all of the questions over the last week or so have brought me back to another questions...

Do I live like I really believe that which I say is true?

Unfortunately, if I'm honest about it, the answer is 'no' more times than I would like to admit. I know that my heart has been set free, but I don't always live like I really believe it. I say that I know I am forgiven and believe guilt has no place in the Kingdom, but I still let it keep me from fully living the life I was created for. I b… Continue

Reflex Groups

As Joey, Nelson and I sat in the office not too long ago trying to figure out what to call these groups, reflex was the word that seemed the most fitting.
Reflex is defined as:
-noting or pertaining to an involuntary response to a stimulus
-occurring in reaction; responsive
-also called reflex act. movement caused by a reflex response.

I hope that over the last six days you've allowed the Spirit to search you as you've asked yourself the Reflection Questions. I hope that He has spoken to you tr… Continue
