My Current Occupation:: Working

My Favorite Music:: Can't be limited to genres....

About Me:: My name is Kyle. I'm learning everyday how to really be a disciple. Right now, I'm working at ING taking calls for old people with a 401(k). What I really want to do for a living is ministry. It'll happen when it happens.

My Interests / Hobbies: Music, playing guitar, singing, recording (just started and now I'm addicted), worshiping, eating, beat-boxing, spittin rhymes, cliff-diving, free-falling.

My Goals / Aspirations / Dreams: Heaven, eventually. I want to travel the world, or at least leave the country.

The things that make me want to get out of bed:: Truth is I never want to get out of it...

My favorite place I've been:: The Wherehouse at Crossroad UMC

My books I'm reading:: East of Eden by John Steinbeck, and the Bible.

A little known fact about me:: I played basketball, baseball and football from when I was a toddler all the way until high school. I used to be a sports nut but not so much anymore (music took over that role). I'm still a huge Jags fan (spare ticket anyone?).

One thing I hope to accomplish this year:: To learn how to be an effective leader

Many of you who attended Access last night are pondering the cause that they will give themselves to in 2009. Surely, Derrick is already asking if you know. Many causes deal with the remedy of specific social injustices (i.e. human trafficking, poverty, etc.). This will take a lot of research for you to choose; giving your life to a cause is no easy task, and I'm certainly having some difficulty. Worship...Are We too Concerned About the Wrong Things?

Last week, I had a discussion with a friend of mine who is a worship minister at a local church in Jacksonville. This is a topic that has come along with the "new" church of our generation. It seems with modern day worship becoming more concerned with the production, the experience, and of course, the music creating an emotional experience with God rather than teaching about Christ, and helping those to be closer to God.
