What does it mean to be a man of God? Part I

Something that has been weighing on my heart these past few weeks is the wonder at what it means to be a man of God. Many of my friends have asked the same question and I find myself somewhat lacking in my ability to respond.

If you were to ask me if I knew any godly men I would undoubtedly say yes, however if you were to ask my why I thought they were godly I would have difficulty explaining my reasons. This has challenged me to not only gain wisdom and understanding as to what it means, but m… Continue

Thanks so much for taking the boys last weekend to the cubscout thing! I don't think God could have picked a better suited guy to go with them! :)! And it was nice getting to talk to you over lunch on Sunday! And I wanted to let you know that I'm praying for your friend. Stay strong and thanks again for helping with Hassan and Pierre!

We'd probably do ok without Kels. When she cooks, she ends up with every pot, pan, and dish in the sink by the end of the night. :)

That was a WE. WE can work up an entire meal. :) You're not coming here to slave away for us, you're here to hang out! That means WE make dinner.

It was great meeting you, too! Thanks so much for the truffles!!! Maybe next time you come, we can work up an entire meal for Jackie and Kelsey! (vegetarian food included for me!) :)

Glad everything is going according to plan for ya, well as much as there is a plan. :-)
I heard you were down this way after the fact. Bummer. Well good luck with wrapping up your Marines chapter, and I'll be praying for ya as you are figuring out God's next steps.

LOL! Yeah, you driving all the way from Jacksonville, NC to do Cub Scouts with my kids, hanging out, and making us truffles was not enough for me to really think we were friends. I still needed that e-confirmation! I did not realize we were not already friends or I would have fixed that problem, but I just sent you a request now! By the way, you made quite an impression on our Cub Scout troop! I didn't even get through the door before Mr. Fernando started telling me how impressed he was with you! The other leaders all had great things to say about how helpful you were to everyone too. Thanks again for such an amazing job!

Mark, Bahrain was an incredible experience. It was the first time that I was surrounded by a Muslim culture. It was blessing to see. How long did you spend there?
