Volunteer Event

Volunteering is something I have done often but not always with consistency. Since I have moved to Jacksonville, I have felt called to get involved with the community around me. I'm blessed to have a good job, place to live, food to eat, and friends to support me. I just wanted to tell you about an upcoming volunteer event. It is with the Methodist Children's Village and it will be on July 25, 2009.

The daycare is a certified United Way agency and a mission of the Methodist church. It currently serves children ages from birth to 5 years. Priority enrollment is given to at-risk children and families in crisis. The daycare has 14 classrooms and they really need help with some spring (summer) cleaning.

The Methodist Children's Village would really appreciate the help this Saturday! The address is 7915 Herlong Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32210. The event will run from 9 am to 12 pm on July 25th. It has really made an impression that there are young Christians in our society that are willing to help out the community around them. We MIGHT be able to be there! I have a meeting with someone else but I think it is in the afternoon. We had SO much fun last time, the women there are awesome! Thanks for putting this together Amanda! ;-)
