Holy week idea
" For a long time now we've been marching off battle...
scars and bruises everywhere, My faith never fathered.
I don't want a God who gives me gold, or a God who grants my every wish. I WANT A GOD WORTH FIGHTING FOR!!!!"
That is a sample of some of the awesome stuff we will be doing
we have all these afflictions and we feel exhausted from marching around in the battle of Life so we need a couple hours before the entire jacksonville community gets up to take time and remember what happened 2000 + years ago at the cross....
what i would like to happen:
have some acoustic style worship. guitars and voices praising the one who paid our debt and raised this life up from the dead!!!!!
so if u are musically talented (because all of my friends are) please get with me!!!
also if you have any poems/ art you would like to share about your experience with Christ / the church/ God in General please see me as well.
also what i was also thinking was doing a mini confessional ... we take a few moments and think about our thoughts and we either throw rocks and or pebbles at the bottom of the lake where we are at. to symbolize everything we just were the past year has just been sunk to the bottom of the cross so Jeus can rise to the top in our lives...
also if you are not a morning person, you can remember Christ's sacrifice in bed asleep... but please remember!!!
