living. learning. preparing.

So I would like to tell everyone first off that Anna is feeling better, and thanks everyone so much for their continued prayer support. She hopes to be back in jax this weekend. Praise God!
I have been thinking a lot lately about prayer, and it sort of brought me back to our coffee with Jesus segment last year. I feel like in my life, while I have been getting better about including God in all aspects of my like, there are still times when I don't go to Him first. I don't know if I feel like its too trivial to bother him with prayer, like he has enough to do right?! But I know that He wants nothing more than my love and to be included in every aspect of my life. There are times when I am going to God second or third. Its like when I get this problem figured out, ill have time to thank God. When in reality I should be asking God for his blessing, and support with everything I'm doing. I work at the cheesecake factory and I hate it. Lately I have been asking the Lord to use me in my crappy job (don't we all have some dead end something in our lives) to show everyone I come in contact with that He is Lord. I feel like maybe when I don't enjoy something I convince myself that God doesn't need to be a part of it, and ill just trudge through it without Him or His help. But that's now what He wants. I forget sometimes that He put me where I am, with my issues, and fears, and he knew that I would need Him. When I have asked Him to bless my day and help me to show His love I am more satisfied with my life because I know that no matter where I am I am doing His work and advancing His kingdom in the way He has for me right now. And when I go to Him with my trivial problems, no He doesn't wave a wand and poof its all fixed. But He does give me peace of mind, and maybe another point of view, and sometimes the answer. So I would challenge all of you in the coming summer months to keep Him in the forefront of our minds, include Him in all that we do. Gee said in service a few weeks ago "a saint is someone who makes it easy to believe in God" let's all try to let God be a part of every aspect of our lives, and be a saint to someone, pray all the time, not just when we can't find the answer immediately on our own. He is our Father and want so badly to spend quality family time with us. Amen to that!
