Last week I saw the last 5 mins or so of a documentary about the Congo... Katie, I can't tell you how much it messed with me. I don't know what to do about it, but after I watched it I couldn't get that line in the song Albertine "Now that I have seen, I am responsible. Faith without deeds is dead." out of my head. I still don't know my part is to play.... but I think, no I know, its something.

well we would have to take a royal caribbean cruise; there's no question about that. and they've cancelled all of their mexican port stops, so we couldn't go to mexico even if you wanted to. and i can almost see you wanting to go nurture the sick swine flu-infected mexican people. unfortunately, i don't think we can cruise to burma either. bermuda, maybe. burma, probably not. sorry :(

you make my heart happy. although there is nothing wrong with being a chocoholic. it's actually good for you in (very small) moderation ;) ...and we really do need more pictures together. i think being roommates might help that. or maybe we can fix your lack of cruising and take pictures there! kill two birds with one stone?

I just started reading that book again actually. =)
It's good so far. It's by Connie May Fowler. A lot of it takes place in North Florida so I thought it was cool that I knew most of the placess she was talking about.

Let's see good books on China and the church....An Introduction to the Mainland Chinese Soul, Jesus in Beijing, Safely Home, China's Christian Millions: The Costly Revival, Heavenly Man, Soul Searching: Chinese Intellectuals on Faith and Society...

There's a lot out there. Lots of stories of missionaries in China like Hudson Taylor, Gladys Aylward, Jon Birch, Lottie Moon, Eric Liddell...

Let me know what you are thinking. If you can't find any of these googling let me know. Or if you are thinking of a more specific topic...there are tons out there!

That's awesome to see your passion for Burma. I don't know that much about that country. I work more with Chinese, but it's amazing to see on a map all the countries that China borders, including Burma! I hope one day my Chinese friends will be able to help transform places like Sudan, Vietnam, the 'Stan's, and Burma!
