Like the song says we just have to "be still and know that He is God" and let Him be in control instead of trying to take control. Prayer works and with that all I can say is isn't GOD GREAT.

This is either done through its melodic nature, technical structure, or speed of tempo. You were close when you said Jazz because they take much influence from jazz and classical music. It is sometimes referred to as "art rock" too.
Dream Theater is probably one of the stronger bands in the genre if you want to check them out sometime.
